Blue Dahlia Murder…uh, I Mean Make-Up

Maybe it’s just me, but I think naming a make-up line after this story a bad idea.

Plus, I am sure I am not the only person who’ll make the leap from Blue Dahlia to Black Dahlia.

Surely Estee Lauder can afford educated marketing personnel? Maybe it’s just me?

That’s an awfully ugly color for eye make-up, regardless.

By the way, that’s my cat Gracie making her “I don’t like it” face.

They probably have a bunch of young people working in their branding department who never heard of or saw the movie. I don’t mind the color. It will look great in high fashion editorial shots. However, it’s a difficult color for a lot of women to wear so there’s potential to look clownish.

    1. Good points. Though if I were in advertising and thought up something “catchy”, I’d Google it before I used it….

I would love the color…in a painting. I can’t imagine anyone wearing it in real life, but then, I don’t get out much! I had a lot of fun writing about this though.
